Theory: Just rewatched 2012’s Get The Gringo. Is it possible that this is the continuing adventures of Mel’s character Porter from 1999’s Payback? Possible evidence; 1. Both movies have the same type of vibe and themes of payback & revenge. 2. Mel plays an anti-hero in both. 3. Both movies feature a storyline that involves a former partner in crime, betraying him and ending up with his wife. 4. His character in Get The Gringo has no name. 5. Mel gets revenge on his former partner. So is Gibson playing Porter in Get The Gringo? Am I crazy or do others connect the same dots?
