District courts across the nation are facing backlogs with hundreds of thousands of pending cases due to a shortage of judgeships, including in the Middle District of Florida.
As a former judge, I understand the importance of citizens having access to the courts and receiving a resolution for their cases in a quick and timely matter. The JUDGES Act will create new permanent judgeships to help alleviate overloaded courts and meet the needs of the people.
