Rosie the Riveters played a vital role in supporting the war effort during World War II, demonstrating the service, sacrifice, and patriotism of American women.
I am proud to co-lead H.R. 2290, the World War II Women’s Memorial Location Act, which would establish a location in our nation’s capital for a memorial honoring these women and their contributions, with the project funded entirely through private donations.
The National Mall is a place that commemorates significant events and people throughout our nation’s history. The contributions of Rosie the Riveters deserve to be recognized among these lasting tributes to American history.
