David Shin

David has recently done a lead teenage role in a music video called ‘Mural’ of Dumbfoundead, a Korean American rapper. The role represented the young Dumb and it had to convey the feeling of a youngster rocking his life with hipsters and girls with passionate love and excitement. Although David is turning into his mid-twenties, the delightful young look gave him an advantage to grab the opportunity to take a role that was 15 to 18 years old. He also did the lead male model for the blanket commercial which is called ‘Sonnobella’ and a Dog Boy for the play ‘Vampire Masquerade’ under the Berubian Theatre Company in Hollywood.

Moreover, graduating as a theatre degree student from the University at Buffalo gave him open doors to meet professors such as Maria Horne, one of the earliest direct student of Lee Strasberg, Vincent O’neil, who runs the Irish Classical Theatre in Buffalo downtown at the theatre district, Robert Knopf, scene study workshop, and Greg Natalie, a method acting instructor. Along with the extensive courses and trainings, David could acquire knowledges in acting such as the Stanislavski’s system and Method.

David is an actor, model and rapper from South Korea who desires to tell stories. Growing up as an introvert, but since he was a third culture kid (having grown up in various places around the world), he had been privileged to experience a wide spectrum of human emotions: love, loss, anxiety, joy, even hatred, which has provoked him to become an artist with an inspirational vision to address, not limited to, hopelessness. As a Korean-American actor, he is naturally able to embody an Asian character with genuine instinct and personality. He wishes to contribute a distinct hue in the media market to target and harness a range audiences as he pursues his dream of an Asian artist in the world media market scheme.
